Scarlett Pinot Noir
Wine
Yering Station Scarlett Pinot Noir celebrates the legacy of viticulturist Nathan Scarlett. Produced only in exceptional years, it is made with grapes handpicked from a special patch of dirt Nathan identified.
The grapes are cold soaked before fermentation with cultured yeast in open tanks. The wine is hand plunged twice daily before being racked and returned once. After malolactic fermentation it is pressed to French oak to mature for 11 months.
Bright ruby red, Yering Station Scarlett Pinot Noir has an intensity and purity that gathers momentum in a crescendo of dense dark fruits, firm tannins and spices. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
